KARAWANG – Local online transportation platform GOKAR once again demonstrated its commitment to serving the community through its weekly GOKAR Friday Blessings (Jumat Berkah) program. On Friday, July 3, 2026, the social initiative took place on Jalan Tuparev, opposite Mie Gacoan Johar in Karawang, where volunteers distributed free meal packages to people working and passing through the area.
As noon approached, GOKAR drivers walked along the street, greeting street workers, waste collectors, pedicab drivers, sanitation workers, and fellow motorcycle taxi drivers while handing out meal packages with warm smiles and friendly conversations, creating a spirit of togetherness.
The activity was carried out by GOKAR drivers Karma, Ojoy, Rian, Rully, Mang Jaya, Yayan, and Didi Padilah, who worked hand in hand to share meals as an expression of care for the community and to strengthen GOKAR’s relationship with local residents.
GOKAR Driver Coordinator Bah Karma said that the Friday Blessings program is a regular social initiative held every week at different locations across Karawang.
”Alhamdulillah, today we are once again able to share with the community. We hope these simple meals can be helpful and bring encouragement to those working hard to earn a living. God willing, we will continue this program every Friday,” he said.
According to Bah Karma, GOKAR aims to prove that a local online transportation service is not only focused on business and transportation services but also committed to making a positive social impact.
”We want GOKAR to be closer to the people—not only as a transportation application but also as part of a social movement that promotes compassion, sharing, and mutual cooperation in Karawang,” he added.
Meanwhile, GOKAR Founder Syuhada Wisastra, A.Md., CHRM, emphasized that the Friday Blessings program reflects the company’s long-term commitment to creating real benefits for society while embracing Indonesia’s tradition of mutual cooperation.
”From the very beginning, GOKAR was built not only to provide professional local transportation services but also to become a socially responsible company. The Friday Blessings program is one tangible example of that commitment,” Syuhada said.
He explained that the initiative is not merely a ceremonial event but a sustainable social movement involving GOKAR drivers as the company’s frontline ambassadors.
”We want our drivers to be recognized not only as transportation partners but also as ambassadors of kindness who bring positive contributions to society. We hope this culture of sharing continues to grow and inspires many others,” he stated.
Syuhada added that GOKAR remains open to collaborating with communities, businesses, charitable organizations, and donors to expand the reach of its social programs.

On the same occasion, Syuhada expressed his appreciation to everyone who supported the event, including GOKAR drivers, the women’s Islamic study group from Gading Elok 1 Housing Complex, Warung Nasi Neng Gita, generous donors, and many others whose contributions made the program possible.
He expressed hope that this collaboration would continue, allowing GOKAR’s social initiatives to reach even more people in need.
The event concluded with smiles from the beneficiaries, many of whom expressed gratitude for the thoughtful gesture. One pedicab driver who received a meal package said the assistance was greatly appreciated.
